Purpose of Position
This position is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of the School Enrichment Programme and the Life Skills and Extra-Curricular Programme for the Pebbles Project.  
Programme Development
• To assist the Life Skills and Extra-Curricular Manager with the development and implementation of Life Skills initiative.
• To assist the Life Skills and Extra-Curricular Manager with the development of the Study Skills initiative.
• To present the Pebbles Project Study Skills initiative to learners at designated SEP centres.
• To liaise with the assigned schools on the curriculum matters as well as exam schedules.
• To present any other initiatives as requested by the SEP Programme Manager.
• To assist with the identification of learners with learning difficulties and refer individual cases to the SEN Programme Manager.
• To assist with the development of the SEP programme, as and when required.

On-Site Support
• To present training to the SEP facilitators on the Pebbles Project LifeSkills initiative and activities.
• To ensure, under the direction of the SEP Programme Manager, that the SEP Programme initiatives are implemented correctly
• To present training to the SEP facilitators on effective classroom management and multi-grade teaching.
• To present training to the SEP facilitators on the presentation of lessons and activities.
• To take overall responsibility in advising the SEP facilitators with the layout of the SEP centre.
• To purchase and distribute all the educational resources as required by the individual centres, as directed by the SEP Programme Manager.
• Ensuring that a cluster of centres has all the needed resources/equipment to function productively.
• To supervise any volunteers that have been assigned to the SEP support teacher. Meeting with new volunteers who are placed on the designated cluster of farms and maintaining regular contact with these volunteers. Assist with completing reports or records for these volunteers. Day-to-day supervision of volunteers, when in charge of managing these volunteers. Ensure that all the necessary arrangements are in place for them to efficiently complete the volunteering experience.
• To organise the collection of all SEP registers on a monthly basis and to inform the SEP Programme Manager of any discrepancies in this regard.
• Take overall responsibility for the management and implementation of the SEP discipline system.
• To facilitate quarterly parent meetings and one on one meetings when required.
• To ensure the general upkeep of communication with parents and ensure they are informed about their child’s involvement in any of the Pebbles Project programmes. Facilitate the distribution of all programme documents.
• To plan and execute the annual centre year-end prize-giving with the SEP support teacher at the relevant centres.
• To organise two open-days per years at the centre in partnership with the SEP support teacher. Ensuring all stakeholders (parents, schools, farm owners and staff) are included.
• To assist the Area Manager with the health and safety for a cluster of centres.
• To manage the centre waiting list and procedures for the intake of new beneficiaries.
• To ensure all Department of Social Developments processes and procedures are effectively implemented.
• To support the Pebbles Project social workers if/when relevant. Conducting home visits with the Social Worker when necessary.

SEP Staff Development
• Take overall responsibility for the SEP external staff development, guiding them to proficient their skills when possible.
• Take overall responsibility for the monthly SEP staff evaluations.
• Conduct quarterly employee performance development meetings with the external SEP facilitators.
• Assist the SEP Programme Manager with arranging the SEP staff and learner year end functions.
• To assist and conduct the necessary HR processes with the Pebbles external SEP staff, as well as with staff members on the farms’ behalf.
• To manage the leave administration of the SEP staff members.
• To assist Human Resources with induction of SEP staff members.
• Attending all the SEP staff training, to streamline the communications between the office and the facilitators.
• Assist the relevant programme manager with the external staff year-end events.

Centre Management
• To take overall responsibility for the general upkeep of the building and outdoor areas of all the centres assigned to the SEP Support Teacher. The COO must authorise any building renovations.
• To take overall responsibility for all the SEP communication with the relevant farms and centres.
• To create a building assessment and needs list and to annually update and prioritise.
• To source and liaise with service providers and supervise building projects.
• To manage and liaise with any renovation volunteers.
• To manage, maintain and take responsibility of the building and landscaping of outdoor play areas.
• To take overall responsibility for checking the centre inventories, under the direction of the SEP Programme Manager. All centre inventories need to be checked 6 monthly, unless a centre closes down / staff member resign, in which case a complete stocktake must take place. The following stock take after a centre closes down / a staff member resigns, only needs to be done 6 months later.
• To complete monthly farm newsletters for the designated cluster of farms, which needs to be sent to farm owners no later than the 7th of each month.
• To assist the programme managers by putting together the monthly farm schedules and identify if any changes are required.
• To sort and distribute donations fairly between farm clusters.

It is a core responsibility for all Pebbles Project staff.
